A Flex Alert is in effect through Tuesday, August 14th. Save energy.

With a stubborn heat wave continuing to bear down on California, energy conservation is critical.

The California ISO has issued a statewide Flex Alert asking all California residents and businesses to reduce electricity use today through Tuesday, August 14th.

As in past years, Flex Alert asks that your organization forward this Flex Alert to your email lists of members, tenants, subscribers, customers and employees immediately.

Working together, we have avoided blackouts since the energy crisis of 2001 by taking simple, no cost measures to cut and shift power usage until after 6:00 p.m.

Thank you for helping to conserve energy and shift peak demand. Last week’s Flex Alert conservation efforts were able to save over 1,000 MW, which helped to ensure a reliable electrical supply.
