Board of Directors: Jason Yancey
ENLA Chair and Director of Consumer Financial Protection at Operation HOPE
Jason Yancey serves as Director of Consumer Financial Protection and Deputy Director of HOPE Coalition America (HCA), the emergency preparedness and response division of Operation HOPE. Jason managed HOPE’s national free foreclosure prevention Mortgage HOPE Crisis Hotline and disaster counselors during the country’s worst mortgage crisis.
Jason has completed NeighborWorks’ nationally recognized Foreclosure Intervention and Default Counseling certification, and is a fully certified Foreclosure Prevention Counselor. His work has directly assisted thousands of clients in delaying and preventing foreclosure.
Jason developed HOPE’s volunteer training guide for volunteers and the Disaster Financial Recovery Seminars. Jason has been deployed to all major disasters since 2010 to directly coordinate HCA’s services and recovery. Jason is a native of Columbia, Maryland and completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Maryland College Park with a minor in Sociology. He has a background in counseling and social services.
Jason is the Board of Directors Treasurer for the Emergency Network of Los Angeles, a non-profit coalition dedicated to disaster preparedness, response and recovery. Jason is committed to working with the board of directors to bring in new sources of funding for ENLA’s annual programs.
