Stay Informed and Be Alert!

Alert LA County

Register with Alert LA County, the County’s Emergency Mass Notification System. Los Angeles County has implemented an emergency mass notification system that will be used to contact County residents and businesses via recorded phone messages, text messages or e-mail messages. You will be contacted ONLY if your street is part of an emergency or disaster. To register your cellular or Voice over IP number, or if you would like e-mail notifications, you must register at: Community Notification Enrollment (coderedweb.com).

Ready LA

The City of Los Angeles Emergency Management Department's Ready Your LA Neighborhood (RYLAN) Program provides free and easy to use tools to help you and your family, business, and neighborhood prepare for disaster. Emergency preparation today will help to reduce injuries, protect your property and most importantly, save lives. Sign up for LA City’s emergency notification program, NotifyLA. When disasters occur or are expected, the City will alert you with specific instructions on what to do. Sign up at NotifyLA.org.

FEMA App

The FEMA App allows you to receive real-time weather and emergency alerts, send notifications to loved ones, locate emergency shelters in your area, get preparedness strategies and more. Receive real-time weather and emergency alerts from the National Weather Service for up to five locations nationwide, find a nearby shelter if you need to evacuate to a safe space, find out if your location is eligible for FEMA assistance, find Disaster Recovery Center locations, and get answers to your most pressing questions.

MyShake™ App

The MyShake™ app delivers ShakeAlert®-powered earthquake alerts across California, Oregon, and Washington. Alerts are provided in partnership with USGS ShakeAlert® and the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES). Have earthquake information at your fingertips, see damage reports shared by citizen scientists like you, help build a global seismic network.
